Beautiful Wedding of Sarah and Oier at Little Blue Restaurant in St Kilda
When a fellow wedding photographer asked me to photograph her wedding, I was instantly nervous as well as humbled! Nervous because this was another fellow professional who knew all the tricks of the trade and I felt huge pressure to make sure I performed above and beyond while at the same time felt humbled, because she loved my work and they trusted ME with their wedding! And what a magical wedding it was at Little Blue Restaurant!!
While they only booked a short 5 hour coverage, we still managed to nail it and got heaps and heaps of amazing photos. Let me set the scene, the day was 40 degrees, high winds and massively stormy, with a reception at Little Blue Restaurant, a wedding reception venue 1km down a long pier out into the ocean!! It was AWESOME!! Although the storm came in, it didn’t effect the party one little bit.
Although slightly non-traditional, the bride and groom decided to catch up before the ceremony to do photos. We met and did the big reveal at Star of the Sea college in Brighton, Sarah came around the corner as Oier watched in disbelief as his gorgeous soon to be wife approached! We got some amazing photos there, then quickly popped across the road to Kamesburgh Gardens Anzac House. Time was running short and we could see the weather quickly changing on the horizon, so it was time to head to St Kilda and finish the rest of our photos within walking distance to Little Blue Restaurant, just in case it started pouring!
St Kilda pier was the perfect backdrop to finish our wedding photography with the dramatic sky wrapping itself around Little Blue Restaurant, it really was awesome!
Thanks so much Sarah and Oier for having me at your wedding. Your wedding photos turned out beautifully and your day was one to remember!
